If I was an IndyCar team owner starting to worry about the depth of engineers in the sport as entries grow & grow, I'd sure as heck be at IMS today recruiting the heck out of these undergrad & grad students from around the world to come into motorsports.

And you'd have to go to 1951 for a pole-sitter with a faster avg. than the winning time today 135.944 mph).

Make that 1954 for the fastest single-lap speed of the day (139.009 mph).
