It was amazing to see the very professional Year 13 EMC presentations on Tues at our annual EMC Conference. There was a great atmosphere and it was clear students worked really hard on their projects ranging from The History of Pi to Hyperbolic Crochet and Guitar Playing Robot!

Delighted to welcome our Y8 Maths Student Community earlier this week!

We got off to a surprising start, when ‘Aliens Landed’ for their 1st session on Number Bases👽

Students then created their own parachutes & planes to see how weight distribution affected their flight 🪂

We're already halfway through our @ri_science Masterclass series for year 9 students!

This morning, we're delighted to welcome guest speakers, Matt Grose from West Buckland School & Dr Hugo Barbosa from the @uniofexeter 🌟

Some of our students took part in the Poetry by Heart competition yesterday and they were all really impressive with no one needing a script and one student reading a poem by heart in Russian! Its not all Maths at EMS!

It was great to see some of our students in a University Challenge style Quiz at EMS this lunchtime involving 2 Teams of 4 going neck to neck!

In EMC lessons this week students have been working on creative coding through data visualisation to raise awareness of climate change and have created some striking Climate Stripe graphs. All students learn how to code in our EMC curriculum. These are just a few examples.

Excitement is buzzing at the Future Skills Centre as our KS4 Physics Challenge kicks off!

Some advice from a student who took part last year: 'It is difficult, but you'll have fun. Don't give up!'
