We need to address the negative narratives about local actors. We can no longer keep talking about lack of capacity, we need to provide local actors funding so they can retain the capacity they already have and maintain their organisation instead of undermining their confidence.

Brazen breach of humanitarian law, Aid workers in more danger then before. We need to work together to ensure rule of law. Focusing on funding gaps and forgotten crisis. Many more donors need to do more to contribute. We need a clear political commitment. A4EP

The Early Warning System installed at River Kochi, which notifies locals of rising water levels, was inspected by the team on the second day of the EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺 field monitoring visit. The team also visited Nyumanzi refugee reception center and the Adjumani regional relief warehouse.
