Metro rescue Federal Triangle Metro 350 12th St NW. 1 person confirmed under a train. This is currently a viable patient. DC Fire & Metro Transit Police in unified command. Rescue efforts in progress by #DCsBravest .
Engine 11 and Truck 6 welcomed the Bonnano family into their Columbia Heights firehouse for a child’s birthday. We are always happy to help our neighbors celebrate special events. Every day is a community day. #DCsBravest

April is Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month, and The DC Fire & EMS Dept. Heath & Safety Division has arranged esophageal Precancer screening for members of the Department. Firefighters have a 62% greater risk of developing this deadly disease. #DCsBravest

A group of children from the G St cooperative/Christ Church paid a visit to the firehouse of Engine 18 and Truck 7 on Barracks Row Main Street. Our firefighters were delighted to welcome them and plastic fire helmets were the order of the day. Every day is a community day. #dDCsBravest
