My heart is full after a wonderful few days in Ullapool. 46 workshops, 5 concerts, 11 sessions, 2 Gaelic conversation circles! This group of tutors & participants had an informal tune together to finish the weekend.

It was a pleasure to spend some time this evening at Invergordon Academy with Rachael talking to young people and their families about career opportunities in music and the arts. DYW Inverness & CH organised a fabulous ‘Future Careers and Pathways’ events with 30+ employers in attendance.

It was a privilege to listen to lots of outstanding young musicians as they auditioned for a place on the 2024 Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail yesterday.

The panel was made up entirely of former Cèilidh Trail participants, inc. Mairearad Green, Christian Gamauf, Fraya Thomsen and myself.

I know how much care the Home to Highland Programme team put into their work, and I am delighted to see the programme recognised in this way.👇

Through providing regular music-making opportunities, we Fèis Rois have got to know some of these young people who have returned home.

A date for your diaries! My wonderful mum is participating in Strictly Inverness in aid of Highland Hospice. To support her in her fundraising efforts, I am putting on a ceilidh in Inverness next month. All welcome! Joining me are Andy Thorburn on 🎹 and David Nisbet on 🪗
