Not only do unpaid carers need support, there need to be fewer needed. If the paid sector was adequately funded it could be adequately staffed and fewer women would be left picking up the pieces of a failed system. Care in the community means taxes provide.

This rising pay inequality is also gendered. 81 of the FTSE 100 CEOs are male, while women make up the majority of those with the lowest incomes. We need to see more effective taxation and greater investment in social infrastructure & social security.
