The NCBS has honored @EmoryAAS with its 2023 Sankore Institutional Award for outstanding contributions to the development of the Africana/Black studies discipline.
The department won for its creation of the Ph.D. program, the first in the Southeast, launching next fall.

Oh but you are. Deposits ARE insured: up to $250k. You want gazillions insured after the fact, after SVB demanded exemption from stress tests and regulatory oversight.

So FDIC can’t find anyone to buy SVB—this tells me SVB’s loans are shit and no other bank wants to take on that risk: washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2023…

And mebbe CEO Greg Becker why he asked for amnesty from strict scrutiny regulations (Dodd-Frank) set up in the wake of the 2008 collapse…and why he sold $3.6m of his own stock in the weeks leading up SVB’s failure…just a thought.
