Starting Friday night with a cold beer in a tankard we found clearing my parents house. Presented to my dad in 1966/67 during his days in the Navigation and Radio Division at Boscombe Down.

We need a serious conversation about how hospice and end of life care is funded, hospices cannot be asked to compromise on the invaluable care they provide.

Disappointed that the Parliamentary Debate on hospice funding was postponed yesterday…so important and needs a slot very soon; imagine if maternity services relied on charity shop sales and sponsored cycle-rides! End of life care should be a right not a lottery. #Hospice

It’s disappointing that the debate has been withdrawn today - I look forward to hearing a new date.
It’s crucial that this takes place and it’s reassuring that so many MP’s want to speak and advocate for their local hospices. We need MP’s from all parties to agree improvements

Ahead of tonight’s proposed debate in the House of Commons @HospiceUK reveals alarming findings. The hospice sector is facing a collective deficit of £77 million, the worst figures in two decades.
