I am baffled by the COPFS line - it isn’t new - that the number of Horizon cases in Scotland is smaller than in England because of COPFS action. The more obvious reason is that it is smaller because Scotland is smaller than England.

I understand the concern expressed here about passing an Act but I am not convinced. If, exceptionally, quashing a group of convictions by legislation is the right thing to do, paving the way for Parliament to do the right thing in future is no bad thing. bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-p…
