I knew how much Organisation for Research on China & Asia (ORCA) was working to change Indian 🇨🇳 studies sphere; bring in domestic China studies -> contemporary evaluations. But we were still barely 2 years old, & people we wanted to invite, we felt, wouldn't respond. That is the only part we got wrong. (3/4)

We spent weeks selecting the perfect everything: venue, theme, speakers, sponsors. Every detail of GCNS was passionately & ambitiously crafted by ORCA-- 5 young 🇨🇳 scholars, under 29 years of age. Once selections were in place, we were at the big ask 'How to do this?'(2/4)
