News just in! We had 1st nest yesterday! The prize for earliest nest in LIFE project areas goes to RSPB Lower Lough Erne Islands nature reserve, on 1 of the islands. Congrats to the early birds ❤️ 📷 . Matches last year's record of 1st eggs 8 April at Glenwherry

Best of luck in all that comes Dave - Dave was my first employer in ecology after I left University - fondest memory is him dropping to pick without stopping and scrumping on field mushrooms for breakfast as we did morning wader transects that were otherwise far too early 🤣🍄
