So, d-day. Most nervous I think I’ve ever been for a marathon, although there could be some recency bias there. My plan is to go out at 6:40-odd pace early doors, then work towards around sub 6:30. Finishing target is around 2:50, but I’ll see what happens. #LondonMarathon

Season opener at the Loughborough open. David had a stab at 1500m, not a fast race, tbh he wasn’t bothered about the time or position, simply testing how his calf and foot were recovering. He felt good/strong afterwards, maybe got his timings wrong during the race.

Shake out run to the expo to pick up my #londonmarathon2024 number this morning. Hip ok, nothing more, nothing less. Felt slightly emotional telling poor t-shirt bloke that it was my last ever, but held it together. I’m sure there’ll be tears at some point tomorrow! #lastdance
