Promote the team's vision. Be part of the action. Be a great communicator. Make others feel important. Be an influence. Most importantly, build relationships.

Once you become a coach, it’s not about you anymore. It’s about your players & their dreams. Not what you want for them, but what they want for themselves. You’re there to help them go as far as they can to reach their potential. Not matter how big/small the dream, it’s theirs.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity wrestling team, as they traveled to Jones HS and defeated the Tigers 57-21 in their season opener.

Kids shouldn’t be looking for support/feedback from parents during games. When it’s not necessary for them to look for parents in the stands to get validation, it shows their confidence level is improving. Encourage them to rely on themselves & focus on competing & being present.

HS Seniors: Brace yourself for your season of lasts. Last bus rides. Last big rivalry games. Last home game. Last year of laughter, tears, cheering & memories of competing & winning & losing with this group of teammates. It’ll never be exactly the same. Enjoy every last moment!

Coaching is weird. Cause the things that make you get a promotion don't really correlate to the position you get. Like being a good position coach doesn't mean you can call plays, being a good play caller doesn't mean you can manage a team as a head coach.
