Worried that you’re away on polling day? 😕
If you want to vote in the local elections on 2 May but can't go in person, you can appoint someone you trust to vote in your place.
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote is 5pm Wednesday, 24 April.

📣Shout out to the Bristol Massive!

Great energy + perfect weather for the ride on Saturday.

Most kids have never cycled in the city centre before. How can we make that a normal safe activity for everyone?

It was a great city project ready to go - cancelled out of petty political spite through the Mayor’s unhealthy close relationship with Malaysian owned YTL who are yet to deliver on it’s unsustainable edge of town site.. another example of Labour giving priority to developers’

“Our biggest discovery was the myriad benefits that come with far fewer automobiles.

Even with high expectations, Delft was nothing short of a revelation; each day discovering the joys of being in a city that treated cars as guests rather than guests of honor.” - Curbing Traffic

Bristol Labour Group proposed to treble the cost of residents’ parking permits, based on the idea that residents parking schemes “may have the effect of encouraging more short, local trips by car”. Not a single shred of evidence has been presented to justify it.

Just taken a FrecciaRossa high speed train from Rome to Florence. A distance of about 275km (~170 miles). It took 1hr 36 mins and only cost me €23. Not to mention comfortable seats, decent fast WiFi, clean toilets. We’re being absolutely conned in the UK with rail fares 🤦🏻‍♂️

We will not get a fair voting system by voting for parties that have no intention of introducing a fair voting system.

I love how Marvin’s YTL-funded jolly to Malaysia, is now euphemistically described as ‘re-evaluating’.
£34m paid for under the SWRDA plan. £12m lost under Rees, and now £32m paid for cleaning the site. Plus a £200m shopping list from YTL for their project.

Absolutely brilliant turnout for Bristol’s today. And the sun shone! Thank you to everyone who showed up for children - especially the children themselves!

From 2008 to 2012 fought tooth & nail to secure EU Green Capital, Labour being Labour wanted it cancelled for the 2012 bid as minutes will show. It was awarded for what Bristol can become and in 2015 it was started. It was an overwhelming success. bristolgreenparty.org.uk/green-capital-…

Because Bristol City Council under Labour are promoting unsustainable high block development none of you would want to live in - short sighted ‘planning by numbers’ rather than designing for civilised living.

The 1st picture is the latest victim of road violence, Mayar Bahia RIP

The 2nd picture is of the scene.

The 3rd tells you what you can do.

The 4th doesn’t exist yet, but statistically, another person will die due to road violence in B’ham next week.

Surely members of Development Control A committee know they're being played by the outgoing Mayor's office?
Will Labour Cllrs + Richard Eddy approve these 3 applications: democracy.bristol.gov.uk/ieListDocument…
Will any other Cllrs try to do right by the city?
