The 2023 #CashTransfer payments spilled over into 2024 due to challenges such as flooding and insecurity.

The payment process includes registration of learners, validation, and finally the payment. Timely enrolment is key in ensuring & payment happens during the school year.

Over 427,000 girls received a #GESS #CashTransfer during the 2023/2024 payment process, which ended last month.

The cash transfers to all schoolgirls from primary 5 to secondary 4 are intended to lift the financial burden from parents and encourage girls to stay in school.

The National Ministry of General Education and Instruction said the examination council will release results for 2023-2024 Certificate of Secondary Education examinations in three weeks’ times. #SSOX #SouthSudan

This group of learners talked about the impact of GESS cash transfers, enabling girls to attend school. The boys were supportive of their sisters, as the transfers free up resources in the household - enabling parents to send their boys to school too. #girlseducation

On #WorldHealthDay2024 we celebrate HPF South Sudan which has been #endingpreventabledeaths since 2012 by supporting health workers & providing ~10,000 tonnes of 💊

It has:
✅ provided 23m consultations
✅ vaccinated 2.6m children
✅ supported >650,000 safe deliveries

The once crowded & dilapidated spaces & under-tree classrooms at Nyangore Primary School were replaced, & the improvement led to increased teacher-learner engagement.

The trained School Management Committees has been driving positive change.
