One thing I'll never ignore again is the dual-meso supercell

With sufficient mid-level shear and airmass recovery behind the RFD, occluded mesos can mature into full supercells, which can ultimately merge with the initial supercell. Both of these produced significant tornadoes.

Everyone jokes about cows flying — but, in reality our livestock takes a hit and they don’t have a way to seek shelter. We came across the damage path of the Lincoln tornado when I noticed this this injured horse. EMS was already on scene. With proper vet care it should be okay.
