Our spring lambing is all wrapped up now; with 306 ewe's gone out with 512 lambs- so 1.67 lambs per ewe!🐑

We're super excited to welcome a range of incredible staff from across Ireland here today for the Teagasc Education Conference!

Yesterday our Level 5 equine students were off visiting the Irish National Stud and Kildangan Stud yard 🐴
They had a great time and loved getting to look around these incredible places! A huge thank you to the staff at both locations for showing us about.

This past couple of weeks we've had the delight of hosting Veterinary Nursing students from TUS as they complete a number of classes and practical's on our farm and in our equine unit!

They've been wonderful to host, and we hope they found their time with us educational!

The farm is super busy currently with lambing and calving going on, but we're not complaining!

Last week we welcomed students from Dun Laoghaire Further Education Institute to Gurteen to complete some animal husbandry skills as part of their Animal Healthcare courses.

It was wonderful to have these students onsite- and we hope they enjoyed their week with us!
