In Zambia, Deputy Secretary Palm joined the U.S. Congressional delegation to tour the University Teaching Hospital.

During her visit, she learned about the impact of the partnership between the hospital & HHS, which has produced several health programs to support health equity.

Deputy Secretary Palm had a meeting with Ministry of Health Zambia Minister of Health Hon. Sylvia Masebo MP to talk about mutual public health priorities for both the U.S. and Zambia including strengthening pandemic preparedness and health equity.
