#OnThisDay in 1943, on the eve of Passover, the #WarsawGhettoUprising began. About 700 young Jewish fighters took up arms against Nazi SS and police units, forcing them to destroy the ghetto. On this anniversary, we honor those who resisted and remembers those who perished.

Join our Zikaron BaSalon conversation on May 2, as a small panel of survivors and descendants discuss their experiences, and the importance of preserving the memory of the Holocaust L’dor v’dor (From Generation to Generation).

The Samuel Bak Gallery and Learning Center serves as a permanent, international gallery for his paintings, works donated directly to the Museum by the artist. The Bak Learning Center helps visitors understand the content of his works, as well as the symbolism used in his art.

Featuring photos and artifacts from local Holocaust Survivors, the Morgan Family Welcome Center provides an introduction to the Museum's permanent Holocaust Gallery and educates visitors on Jewish life before WWI and WWII, a brief history of antisemitism and the rise of Nazism.

Join us for a free film screening of 'The Survivor' on April 18. The film follows Holocaust survivor Harry Haft as he attempts to rebuild his life after the horrors of Auschwitz. Harry’s son, Alan, will join us after the screening for a talkback.
