My statement on today's CMS Creator Remuneration Report.

It was a pleasure to be invited to speak at the SDGI AGM today. Inspiring to be in a room filled with such talented people and to talk about our common challenges.

Directors in the Nations and regions rely on the opportunities and investment that PSBs make outside of London. Long term sustainable production across the UK must be a reality. We’re supporting calls for Ofcom to increase Channel 4’s quota obligations in the Nations to 16% (1/2)

Good to see Tim Davie asserting the importance of the BBC + Public Service Broadcasting. Exciting to hear about backing British storytelling, we hope this will be a good thing for our members. We welcome the commitment for 60% of BBC TV prods to be outside of London by 2026 (1/2)

Important meetings held by The Film and TV Charity - now the major players who have the power to set standards for our industry need to turn these recommendations into actions.

Encouraging that Alex Mahon agrees that the quota should be more than 9% - but we need to know what their proposed % is.
