Poor balance. Falling. Twisted joints and pain. The sense of vulnerability + fear of falling can knock your confidence 10 fold. But people just see the freezing gait, a trip, hear a sluuurr and ask you to say it again. But if I stay at home, I am safe, I can sing. FU #parkinsons
A new role but still here! After 13 years hosting CBC New Brunswick supper hour news, it's time to hand the baton to colleague Rachel Cave. Parkinson's is tightening its grip on my voice, but as long as I can talk I'll continue to tell stories and be part of CBC News in NB.
