the garlic press is one of the most incredible inventions of modern civilisation.

One very underrated pick-me-up is deliberately mispronouncing things. Commit to saying 'arples' or 'bananners' and you'll see results in days. Only ever pronouncing Moby as 'mobby' has been an absolute game changer for my mental health and I'd recommend it to anyone.

i hate big bang theory et al. because the 'humour' is premised on nudge nudge references (see: lazy) but social media catchphrases in lieu of an actual sense of humour are starting to occupy the same space. pointing to something once funny instead of being actually funny.
