I've also said from day one about green retrofitting of existing homes should & this is in my manifesto. I would start immediately, using local installers which keeps revenue generated in local economy.

80% of homes need to be retrofitted in next 20 years. Why wait?

We need more much needed social housing, and more affordable homes. These should be built to high standards to be energy efficient, reducing fuel costs, while helping to meet net zero. People need homes and people deserve high quality homes.
