Our 1st visit to St Kilda this season but not our last! There's just a few spaces left with us or via our partner Naturetrek to Kilda. Join us if visiting this amazing place has always been a dream. Thanks to Chef Steve Steve Milne for the photos.
After Staffa, the choice of tranquil overnight anchorage was the south side of Ulva - lovely sunset glow on a distant Ben More on Mull. So peaceful... Thanks to Chef Steve and guide Jess Owen for the photos Steve Milne
Tranquil and beautiful sunrise after a superb anchorage at Coll overnight. Thanks to Chef Steve Steve Milne for a lovely reminder that mornings and evenings aboard are often as peaceful as this - just let all the stress drain away. northernlight-uk.com/our-cruises/20…
We’re on Tiree at the moment updating all our walking routes on the island. All photos taken today - it’s a tough job but someone has got to do it etc. 😉
Thanks for meeting up Tiree Ranger Hayley
This morning our rangers were monitoring Staffa's black guillemots, also known as tysties. Happy to report we still have a healthy population of these endearing birds - love their big red clown feet! The first few Bonxies of the year returned on 7th April, soaring over the hills among a blizzard of Fulmars. It won't be long before they're back defending territories again. Here's hoping for a continued recovery following the #HPAI decline in 2022. #NTSSeabirds UK Seabird Monitoring Programme
Spring migration so far on #StKilda has included the usual passage of wildfowl, a couple of Woodcock, small flocks of Redwing, Blackbirds, Song Thrush, a young Stonechat and an Iceland Gull in Village Bay on 8th April. Outer Hebrides Birds BirdGuides National Trust for Scotland
