A poignant vigil for Greta Price-Martin, the 22 year old Co Louth IADT student and cyclist who was killed last week. Family, friends and residents in Dun Laoghaire were told by her father, Breffni: “She should have been safe here.” Her mother Vanessa said: “Keep cycling.”

Remember folks - always wear hi-viz clothing to make sure you don't get hit by people driving cars!

I BIKE Dublin An Garda Síochána RSA Ireland RTÉ I work as a driving instructor for buses,and there are certain blind spots,however if the correct attention is paid to the mirrors during the course of a manoeuvre, the object in the blind spot will come into view,in my view it’s about lack of enough attention to mirrors.

I BIKE Dublin I was jury member in corners court years ago. Small child killed by a truck in a housing estate 💔 Desperate situation for all. The jury & court recommended that any truck operating in res. area have a drivers assistant as the blind spots are too great. >20 years ago.
