Today I reminded my Empower kiddos that we need to keep our eyes in the text. I quickly taught them “In the text, not out of the text”… it made me smile. Then we went right back to work. 😂 Thanks Dr. Anita Archer for that sweet memory and great teaching tip!! IDA Ontario

What a weekend! Lots of learning, reconnecting & new connections! We learned about Building Lang Comp, DLD, Comorbidities, Defining Dyslexia, Sentence Structure Inst., Vocab, Explicit inst., Reading Comp. & more! ❤️this group of TLDSB SERTs, CTs, admins, coaches and consultants!

My 1st attempt at paragraph shrinking post-IDA Ontario’s session with Dr. Anita Archer on scaffolding comprehension! We summarized an informational text on stages of life using the list, cross out, connect and order strategy. Excited to build this new skill with my students!
