With the renewed partnership, we aim to make an even deeper positive impact against habitat degradation and native biodiversity loss. By 2026, our goal is to plant an additional 10,000 Rudraksha saplings and other native species in the region.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri G Asok Kumar, Asok Kumar Director General, NMCG; Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Vice President – Global CSR, HCL Foundation; and Manu Bhatnagar, Principal Director, INTACH.

Over the past five years, we have successfully planted 13,500+ saplings, including 10,000+ Rudraksha saplings, across Chamoli and Almora districts. Our efforts have covered 30 acres of community-owned land near Sentuna village.

We are thrilled to have renewed our partnership with the National Mission for Clean Ganga (Namami Gange) and Indian National Trust for Art & Cultural Heritage (@INTACHIndia) to bolster native biodiversity in Uttarakhand for a period of 3 years with the signing of a formal MoU.

INTACH will do
1⃣Plantation, maintenance and protection of Rudraksha saplings
2⃣Scientific and technical know-how exchange with HCLFoundation
3⃣GIS mapping
4⃣Awarwness and Capicity Building workshops
5⃣Tree MIS with geo-tagging
6⃣Coordination with district administration

In presence of Sh Asok Kumar, DG-NMCG a tripartite MoU between NMCG, HCLFoundation & INTACH was signed today for plantation of 10,000 #Rudraksha saplings in the upper hills of Uttarakhand. Apart from recovering the lost forest, it'll also help in Ganga's catchment treatment.
