Amb Gerard Keown spoke on the devastating consequences of drowning on communities in 🇮🇪 & around the 🌍: « Anyone can drown, no one should ».

Today, 🇮🇪 delivered its national statement during the 219th session of the UNESCO 🏛️ #Education #Sciences #Culture 🇺🇳 Executive Board 🇺🇳

It focused on:

☑️ Africa
☑️ Gender Equality
☑️ SIDS
☑️ the Ethics of AI
☑️ UNESCO’s contribution to the Summit of the Future
☑️ Support of UNESCO’s work in Ukraine & Gaza

Yesterday, Minister Malcolm Noonan T.D. launched Ireland’s “Monuments in Focus” exhibition at UNESCO 🏛️ #Education #Sciences #Culture 🇺🇳, aimed at showcasing 🇮🇪's rich archaeological heritage & highlighting the important work of National Monuments Service & Office of Public Works to safeguard it for present and future generations.
