Our 2nd graders enjoyed Farm Day! What a great learning experience for all! Isle of Wight County Schools

The US Army Special Forces Association, Chapter 84, Hampton Roads provided a $2,000 donation to the SHS JROTC Packer Battalion Rifle Team to purchase an electronic target for their rifle range. We appreciate Chapter 84's support of the program and our students.

Friday May 3 is a student holiday. It is a staff work day as well as a day for parent conferences.

It's Volunteer Appreciation Week! Across IWCS, we are blessed with many volunteers who jump in & help out when & where needed, such as PTA officers/members, Booster organizations, classroom volunteers, WATCH Dog Dads & students who mentor other students. Thank you for all you do!

Congratulations to the IWCS KidWind & Solar Teams who competed in the state challenge. Good luck to SHS & SMS as they prepare to compete at the National level in May.

What a great night for the inaugural Gifted &Talented Night for IWCS. The event showcased projects and performances by students in fine arts & gifted classes at all levels throughout IWCS.

2nd grade participated in the Purple Up day to support military kids 💕

What great day! Smithfield Middle School chorus had the opportunity to perform at a ribbon cutting ceremony with United Way. Tonight, talents were showcased by our jazz band, art students, and gifted students. Go, Panthers! 💙🐾

WSES 6th grade photojournalism students held a donation drive for the IOW Animal shelter. They delivered the donations & spent time volunteering during their visit. This was part of their class project to bring awareness and prevent animal abuse.
