Very pleased to note the consideration of Operation Encompass. World Class Policing Winner in Q4 2024. This is a straightforward, well evidenced proposal to provide immediate support to children traumatised by domestic violence, often fuelled by alcohol.
Children have no support where they are currently victims of domestic violence. Are we seeking to increase the sale of alcohol without a health impact assessment and NO regard for the harm and trauma to children which will last their lifetimes? Helen McEntee TD Simon Harris TD

Early interventions needed too. The prog Operation Encompass. World Class Policing Winner provides schools with access to psychologists. Having exposure to adverse childhood experiences does impact health and outcomes if the child is not supported with early intervention. Silent Voices Ireland
