Ireland at the Council of Europe is offering a full scholarship for a student or young professional living in the Republic of Ireland to attend.

The Committee of Ministers held yesterday an exchange of views on the Council of Europe contribution to the global Abolition of the death penalty. Thanks a lot to Firmin Yangambi, M. Goldberg, Chair End Death Penalty, A. Niakate, Chair ECPM (Ensemble contre la peine de mort) for their substantial input !

A timely thematic discussion organised today by Liechtenstein at the Council of Europe on the death penalty.

Hearing Firmin Yangambi's testimony is another stark reminder of the final and irreversible nature of the #deathpenalty and underlines the impropriety of its use as a criminal punishment.
