I need everyone to take a long hard look around at how few people are doing this work and think about what that means before you try to drag someone down who's reaching people & getting masks on them AND NOT HARMING YOU. Everyone allowing that shit to happen is part of it too.

This is the least hopeful I've ever been about Covid advocacy. Can't even agree that we should try to persuade people to join us. People getting too sick to keep going. Harassment campaigns against activists who manage to gain any traction at all. Not nearly enough of us trying

So the victims are often unsupported and on their own. No one takes the time to listen or self-reflect. And the abuser gets to move on after ruining their life. Nothing happens, the mf doesn't have to change so they don't. And the cycle repeats.

The goal is often to exhaust victims into silence. Every time they bring it up, folks come in droves demanding that they stop talking abt it so the abuser can 'move on and thrive'. Even if the shit is still happening with the same victim or a new one.
