Yesterday, Ms Ouka Magari, SHODO (Japanese calligraphy) artist and representative of Wa Culture International Communication, visited Gorey Community School in Co. Wexford. She held a workshop for students taking Japanese who enjoyed the chance to try SHODO themselves. 🇯🇵😊

On 20 April, Ambassador Maruyama spoke at the opening of the touring exhibition of fine art prints by artists from Japan and Ireland, “Kwaidan - Encounters with Lafcadio Hearn” at Ballinglen Arts Foundation and Museum, the first of 5 venues around Ireland.

Last night Japanese pianist Ms Yukine Kuroki gave her Dublin début performance at the Whyte Recital Hall in the RIAMDublin, receiving a standing ovation from the enthusiastic audience. 🎹 👏
Ms Kuroki will be back in Ireland in September for the New Ross Piano Festival. 😊
