Greatly appreciate Commissioner Jack Porter's leadership in working to remove parking minimums here in Tallahassee, and Commissioner Jeremy Matlow's support.

Removing these minimums will make infill development easier, and lessen the drive and demand for more sprawl.

Today, the City Commission will consider for the third time this budget cycle raising Tallahassee’s property taxes. 

For the third time, I will vote No.

The Groundbreaking of the future StarMetro Southside Transit Center. 🚍

Freedom of movement and connectivity is essential to a thriving community.I’m so excited to see us invest in our public transit. A car shouldn’t be a necessity to live in tallahassee.

🧵— The City Manager recommends raising the millage rate for the first time in several years.

I oppose this property tax increase.

I can’t in good conscience ask folks for more public dollars when bloated executive salaries and wasteful spending priorities abound at City Hall.

Gainesville listed by the Biden administration as an example of good housing policy for our elimination of parking minimums last year:

Had the best day yesterday as Principal Porter (for a day) at Gilchrist Elementary School!

Thank you to Principal Crowe and all of the Gilchrist faculty, staff, and students for such a warm welcome. I’m in awe of all you do to serve our kids. ❤️
