For those in the UK BBC Woman’s Hour today at @10am will be focusing on all things boys- what it is like to be a boy, raising boys, experiences of boys who do not fit into the traditional model of masculinity and what it all means for girls. This is a must listen.

Children are at most risk of entering the youth justice system due to vulnerabilities, victimisation, trauma, and unmet needs.

The responsibility for reducing this risk sits with adults, not children.

I love the Japanese concept yutori, which refers to having enough time & peace of mind to enjoy life without being constantly under pressure. I think this is something that we have to craft out in our lives, to make it a sacred practice.

Brilliant to chat with Fran, Nadia and Eugene about reframing violence between young people; mythologies of an inherently just and peaceful Britain; the challenges of 1:1 support for young people; my favourite Hackney corner shop; my (and Eugene's) progress on Fifa; and so on...!

At a time when we see rising hunger, growing poverty & a lack of financing to address the climate crisis, it's shocking to see military expenditure reaching an unprecedented high—$2443 billion in 2023, according to SIPRI.

It's time to stop running towards mutual destruction.

Horrified to hear the amendments we supported have been stopped in House of Lords. It is extremely difficult to understand why Tory peers would want convicted child rapists/abusers to have parental rights over their children, when they would not be allowed near other children.
