Emotional day as we unlock education opportunities for Georgia's children and families by passing historic school choice legislation on the House floor. Jan Jones and Todd Jones brilliantly ushered this bill through the House--heroes!

So sad to hear of the Former First Lady Sandra Deal’s passing. I feel fortunate to have known and admired her as she traveled the state to read to students in all 180 Georgia counties. Mrs. Deal was passionate about children, their well-being and future.

The Georgia House passed the “Tax Reduction and Reform Act of 2022” a historic, $1 billion tax cut that will lower or eliminate taxes across all income levels. In fact, more than 95 percent of working Georgians will benefit from these reforms, which is flat, fair and simpler.

I qualified to run for re-election today in HD 47. I’m excited to continue making a difference and commit to serve with integrity & a commitment. I'll fiercely protect north Fulton’s and Cherokee County’s high quality of life!

Passed HB 1178, which is also called the Parents Bill of Rights bill. Provides parents with greater transparency of existing parental and guardian rights in public school systems. Establishes procedures to address parental access to information.

Passed HB 1348, which extends existing indoor restrictions for smoking to also pertain to vaping. Includes spaces open to the public and government buildings.

The UniversitySystemofGA have named former GA Governor & Dept. of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue the sole finalist to be the next University System of GA Chancellor.

He brings a deep experience of state government & a passion for growing tomorrow’s leaders. I look forward to working with him. #gapol

Today kicks off #BlackHistoryMonth , a month to celebrate the many great achievements and legacies of Black Americans. We must all continue to work and strive for a more perfect and prosperous Georgia and United States. #gapol

Today marks #HolocaustRemembranceDay , where we solemnly honor the legacy of those who survived and were liberated. We also remember the 6 million people whose lives were lost.

A great House Republican caucus meeting today at Truist Park in Cobb County! We were even able to see the Atlanta Braves World Series Trophy!

The City of Milton Fire Department will be offering its vaccine clinic today and Thursday 12/30 at Community Place next to City Hall. People age 5 and older can come get a vaccine from a Milton firefighter. The vaccine clinic will be held from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and from 3-6 p.m.

Georgia is a better place thanks to Sen. Johnny Isakson. His long career of public service from Atlanta to Washington always put our peoples’ interest first.
