Rochdale delegate Dave Barter successfully moving a motion at #NEU2024 to demand that OFSTED is abolished and replaced by a locally-based system of school accountability, and for the NEU to back members to strike against its impacts in school.

Ukrainian teachers' union representative, Olga Chabaniuk, addressed the official international fringe at #NEU2024 . Olga made a forceful case to back the Ukrainian labour movement and for active solidarity with Ukraine's struggle against imperialist Russian war and occupation.
