Based on their findings, the authors conclude that more access to HBCUs could increase the fraction of Black students who earn four-year degrees & increase the number of Black STEM graduates in the U.S. economy.

/2 Using data from nearly 1.2 million Black SAT takers, the authors discover that those who enrolled in HBCUs:

1️⃣are 14.6% more likely to earn a BA
2️⃣have a 5% higher household income around age 30
3️⃣have $12k more in student debt around age 30
