Oh how the tables turn!

When I was 16, I came home to a letter on the kitchen table from my foster carer. It said I had four days to find somewhere else to live. Today, the book in which I write about this experience is pictured here on my own kitchen table. And it is OUT TODAY.

A truly enriching book, beautifully written throughout. Huge respect for Rebekah Pierre and every other brilliant table-turner who made this happen 🌟✊

The Kenya Society of Care Leavers was established, among other things, to advocate for better practices, regulations, policies, and attitudes that enhance the socio-emotional, psychological, and economic well-being of children in alternative care and those who have left care.
