Yesterday was Denim Day, a day where we renew our commitment to affirming our support for survivors. I joined the MA Women's Caucus to stand in solidarity during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. I also joined Debra Robbin, who directs Jane Doe, Inc. and is a Hingham resident.

The House Committee on Ways and Means submitted their version of the FY25 Budget to the larger House of Representatives today. I’ve filed budget amendments that will have local, regional, and statewide impact, and I look forward to the upcoming budget debates in just a few weeks.

Last week, I provided a legislative update to the Cohasset School Committee regarding the FY24 budget, the upcoming budget cycle, and relevant earmarks and legislation with Patrick O'Connor. We continue to advocate for our schools in the Third Plymouth District on Beacon Hill.

I was joined by some fantastic climate advocates this week at my monthly office hours in Linden Ponds. We discussed their plans for Earth Month and the implementation of the 2050 Climate Roadmap. Keep up the good fight!

Today is Start By Believing Day, which is a reminder that we must continue to believe sexual assault survivors as we confront gender-based violence. I join my colleagues in the MA Women's Caucus as we continue to listen and uplift stories from survivors. #StartByBelieving

On March 19, I attended an open house hosted by LWV Massachusetts, which focused on a variety of topics, from affordable housing to advancing our climate goals. Thank you to @HinghamLWV for providing a fantastic venue to discuss state and local issues as well as our legislative work.

I am one of 234 women to ever serve in the Legislature and the third to serve in the current 3rd Plymouth District—Reps. Mary Jeanette Murray and Caroline Stouffer held the district in 1977. I am proud to be in a MA Women's Caucus that preserves the story of female civil servants.

The Women’s Caucus continued its advocacy with Senate President Karen Spilka this month, where our five priority bills (including my campaign funds for childcare bill) were discussed. We’re looking forward to advancing these statewide causes that champion women.
