Great news: Important conservation bill passed through Senate committee today.

#USFICA would bring together the public and private sectors to ensure protected areas provide economic, environmental, social, and cultural benefits locally and globally, says WCS’s John Calvelli.

Further financial resources are needed to manage and conserve Miombo Woodlands. WCS can mediate between public and private sector to help governments assess the quality, pros, and cons of potential opportunities for these, said WCS’s Todd Stevens at Miombo Initiative event today.
