Dat and Matt's (Dat Tien Nguyen and Matthew Evans) paper on some very bulky 6-membered N-heterocyclic germylenes is out in J. Organomet. Chem. This one is dedicated to Evamarie Hey-Hawkins in celebration of her stellar career in chemistry. #ozchem Monash Chemistry sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Happy to share that our review (Jones Research Group) is out now in Chem Soc Rev!
Here, we discuss the synthesis of low oxidation state & hydrido group 2 metal complexes and their reactivity towards gaseous substrates 🧪

Typeset version of this paper (first collaborative outing with project lead Dr Anker) on the first discrete Eu(II) hydride complex is out in Chemistry. More on big ligands doing big things across the ditch soon. #ozchem Monash Chemistry …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ch…
By using bulky bis-anilide ligands, the Jones Research Group group has formed complexes with all of the group 2 metals, which are geometrically forced into eta-6 arene interactions with the ligand. Please have a look at how this lines up: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Welcome to Siad Wolff who has joined us as an exchange PhD student from the excellent
Christian Limberg group Humboldt Berlin Chemistry. This part of our Monash/Berlin student exchange programme. #ozchem Monash Chemistry
Dat's nice paper on bulky diamido group 2 metal systems has been accepted Inorganic Chemistry. More on this compound type soon. #ozchem Monash Chemistry tinyurl.com/2uc4dv6p
Chemistry@Bath Uni is hiring (again!). This time we are searching for an Inorganic Chemistry Lecturer... Deadline for applications is 20th March. #ukchemjobs #inorganic bath.ac.uk/jobs/Vacancy.a…
Today we sadly say goodbye to Christoph Helling, who has been with us since 2022 as a Feodor Lynen Fellow of the Humboldt-Stiftung. Some more of Christoph's nice Monash Be chemistry should appear soon. Gute Reise Christoph! #ozchem Monash Chemistry
