Carers and Young Carers save the taxpayer billlions in caring for their loved ones. Yet so often the systems of the state make their life so much harder. We need to support these remarkable people!

Good old fashioned journalism by The Guardian means Department for Work and Pensions will look at this case with some urgency. Perhaps, it should have listened more carefully to charities who have been warning about these injustices with the benefits system for years?

🫂Latest on carer's allowance: how Davina Ware was forced to pay back nearly £4,000 after calculating her earnings as a monthly income, as she believed the DWP required, rather than a four-weekly cycle.

Ware's husband has had Parkinson's for 20 years.
