The IBRO - International Brain Research Organization SENC meeting is over. It has been intense, a lot of learning and future ideas and it has given the possibility to meet new great people. If you come to our posters and you are interested, we are offering a postdoc position: imim.cat/media/upload//…
#IBRO2023
The best moment #IBRO23 thanks to Yulong Li for the amazing and inspiring talk and Busquets-Garcia Lab to support my presence in IBRO - International Brain Research Organization.
Intense days of sharing knowlegment.
Take home message:'Can we do better?' - Yulong Li.
We can always do better if you did not give up!
During this morning Irene Manzanares-Sierra is presenting our work about senescence in AD! Pass by the poster B57 to discuss the data with her. #IBRO2023 IBRO - International Brain Research Organization
Today in the afternoon, i will present at IBRO - International Brain Research Organization the poster (A41) 'Hippocampal involvement in mouse light-tone sensory preconditioning'. If you like learning and memory processes, fear, hippocampus, behavior analysis (DLC, python), or chemogenetics, please visit me.
Tuesday 12th (morning), our postdoc Carla Ramon-Duaso, PhD will present the poster (C10) 'Preclinical efficacy of a newly identified compound in depressive-like phenotypes'. Assessing the behavioral and brain neurotransmitter changes induced by a new compound.
Monday 11th (morning), our PhD student Irene Manzanares-Sierra will present the poster (B57) 'Senescence in Alzheimer's disease: a new transgenic mouse model'. The first behavioral and molecular characterizations in a new AD mouse model that aim to characterize senescent processes.
Sunday 10th (morning), our postdoc Carla Ramon-Duaso, PhD will present the poster (B04) 'Behavioral and molecular impact of cannabinoid treatment in APP/PS1 mice'. A combination between a longitudinal behavioral characterization and metabolomics to explore the impact of cannabinoids in AD
Sunday 10th (morning), our PhD student Marc Canela will present the poster (A30) 'Towards a behavioral protocol for assessing second order conditioning in mice'. A combination between higher-order conditioning and the use of computational tools to analyze specific behaviors.
Sunday 10th (afternoon), our postdoc JuliaPinho will present the poster (A41) 'Hippocampal involvement in mouse light-tone sensory preconditioning'. A combination between higher-order conditioning, advanced behavioral analysis through DeepLabCut and chemogenetic approaches.
The Seahorse of the Brain! The hippocampus is very vulnerable in #Alzheimers , and the photo below shows the initial neuroinflammatory response observed in response to p-tau accumulation. Red shows all microglia, and in yellow, the activated ones. Markers: 🔵NeuN, 🔴IBA1, 🟢HLA-DR
