Dr Gabrielle 'Gabby' Storey šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ Emily Jayne Ah youā€™ll want to follow the excellent Dr Gilly Carr šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ŗ for lots on this and related matters.

Info at linkšŸ‘‡šŸ» on an informative exhibition that was held The Wiener Holocaust Library in collaboration (seems like a poor term in context) with Gilly

I celebrated turning 40 this month. A new decade always brings reflection, but Iā€™m genuinely looking forward to this one. Iā€™m heading into my first summer break with a secure permanent employment contract (finally!), which was such an immense achievement in the current HE climate

This is a really interesting thesis waiting to be written - by dint of how itā€™s trained, AI art internalises all the most common myths and modern dramatic retellings of historical periods, meaning it pumps out this stuff

Really excited to showcase the podcast Emily Jayne and I recorded for Holocaust Memorial Day 2024. We discussed this year's theme - the fragility of freedom.

It was a rich conversation, so check it out!

*Stiles, but Iā€™ll forgive as thereā€™s no edit function (and my surname isnā€™t listed on my profile) ā˜ŗļø. Listen to Lucy and I natter about freedom (and its fragility). We actually had a much longer conversation, but these are the highlights! Podcasting is a very enjoyable experience
