THURSDAY: After yesterday evening's slushfest of 4'-7' (6.9' at MSP airport nearly doubles our winter snowfall total (now at 14.2 for the season)), it's all about sunshine & colder temps for a couple of days. The true thaw returns this weekend with 40s returning next week! FOX 9

TUESDAY: Passing clouds & cooler than yesterday's 40s ... we're aiming for the mid 30s this afternoon. Back to 40s with a few evening flakes for Valentine's Day! FOX 9

WEDNESDAY: After yesterday's record-high of 57, we're heading right back into record territory with a high around 58 this afternoon (current record 53 from 1987). Extra clouds hang around today, then more 50s & rain showers (& maybe even thunder) for Thursday FOX 9

TUESDAY: Heading to a record high in the mid 50s this afternoon (current record 51 from 1925) with filtered sunshine & passing clouds ... record mid 50s tomorrow, too, with even more record mid 50s (with rain showers) for Thursday. FOX 9

MONDAY: A bit of filtered sun as we keep the above average streak alive ... heading into the record-breaking 50s Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday ... even some rain by Thursday FOX 9

WEEKEND! After welcoming Feb w/ a high of 50 (our 7th since December 1st), we step back slightly to the lower 40s this afternoon. 'April' returns through the weekend & into next week w/ several opportunities to tie or beat a few more records! Even some RAIN around Thurs FOX 9

The Winter of '23-'24 ... So far still titled 'The Winter that Never Really Started' here in the Twin Cities ...

We wrapped up January w/ a record high of 55 deg (3rd warmest January temperature ever recorded in the Twin Cities). We start February w/ some patchy fog this AM, otherwise bright sunshine gives way to afternoon clouds & slightly cooler (but still mild!) mid to upper 40s. FOX 9

Is winter already over? … or did it truly ever begin? Hmmm I’m always wary of sneaky Mother Nature 😉 Muaaahaha!

TUESDAY: After yesterday's record warm 50 degree day, we take a slight step back into the lower 40s this afternoon as extra clouds roll through ... sunshine returns, as do record warm mid 50s for tomorrow! FOX 9

TUESDAY: Back into the freeze/thaw cycle this week as every day leads to above-freezing highs. We're barely frozen to start this morning, but we'll slowly warm to the lower 30s as extra clouds & some patchy fog hang around. FOX 9

INTO THE WEEKEND! We're in the final stretch of this week's arctic chill! A reinforcing shot of frigid air behind yesterday's clipper keeps us in the single-digits with subzero chills all afternoon (with a few oddball flurries this morning & passing clouds this afternoon).
