Remembering the great I.A. Rehman Sb today on his 3rd death anniversary. It was an honour to have worked with him and to have learned from him. Human rights movements in South Asia are poorer without him. His legacy lives on. May he rest in peace.

Gen Musharraf was convicted for high treason by a court, the conviction was also later upheld by the SC. But Musharraf didn’t spend even a minute in jail. He was also given state burial. Blatant violation of Constitution and law. The usurpation of state power is unacceptable.

Today on the 1st day of Eid, the Baloch protested against enforced disappearances and to demand the release and return of missing persons. As always, the mainstream chose to ignore the voices of the Baloch.

Eid Mubarak everyone. This Eid, our prayers are with the families of our 4 friends who were martyred in Miranshah. Our prayers are also with the families of Baloch missing persons and the Pashtuns who lost their lives in terrorist attacks in Pakhtunkhwa in recent months.
