Looking good guys - we’ll be pouring an interesting selection tonight at . Our Rare Apple
Ice Wine and Pom’O are there but also upcoming releases & experiments with a whiskey theme going on. Think of them as pallet cleansers or respite from 50% abv samples 😆🍎🍏

I come out of hibernation on Cider Review today to bang the drum (again) for one of cider’s most underdiscussed and exceptional styles – mistelle, most famous as Normandy’s pommeau – and taste four from Killahora Orchards and Gould cider-review.com/2024/03/16/ire…

Thanks for the review of our Pom’O (20mins in)🥃For the UK listeners we are having a tricky time getting stock into the UK (yes the ‘B’ word) but there might be a few bottles thecatintheglass and hoping to increase supplies in years to come !

I’ve been lax on the Cider Review front lately, and on the mistelle front – one of my very favourite cider categories – too. So killing two birds with one stone with this Killahora Orchards, aged in a whisky cask. Great things quietly happening with mistelle right around the world.

Pruning day 1 - curious discovery made; the freshly cut wood of a red fleshed apple tree variety is itself red tinged! Some sore shoulders and elbows after it but was a beautiful day to be out

Great article, love this line …..you can drink ‘pet nat’ ciders for half the price of ‘pet nat’ wines and, instead of drinking a wine that ‘tastes like cider ’, you can drink extremely good cider that is meant to taste like cider.” We 100% agree🥂

Thanks Kate - it’s great to see the range of Irish (and Cork!) fruit and honey wines and increasing. This is Ireland grows best and it’s our job as producers to bring out the best expression of those flavours as we can.

Beautiful day yesterday for the final press of the season - this year didn’t have the same sugar boost as last year due to our shabby July, but produced some really interesting phenolics throughout. Looking forward to what comes next….over to you wild yeasts! 🍎🍐

Great to see Killahora Orchards in Paris….it might be the first time wine from Ireland has been brought to France! If you are in Beau Marché near Place d’Aligré pop into Early Bird Coffee roasters! Lots of other artisan Irish produce there also 🥂 (Thanks for the photos Baz!)
