The provision for payment of back rent is designed to allow evictions:

We have to make monthly payments — on average over $500 — and our payments get applied to the debt FIRST.
If someone can only afford the previous rent and pays every month, they are STILL subject to eviction.

This is what happens when tenants are locked out of negotiations. The City shovels cash onto landlords and leaves us to fight for scraps.

BOTZ GOT BAILED OUT! WE GOT SOLD OUT!

The City is offering Botz a deal worth over $15M in cash and $5M loan extensions at 0% and 1% interest.

The deal also includes a provision that would ALLOW HIM TO EVICT TENANTS for RENT DEBT with 3% interest.
