A YEAR after receiving a free artificial leg courtesy of orthopedic centre – Leonard Cheshire Disability Zimbabwe – a 17- year-old girl from Nkayi, Nomabutho Ncube, is still going strong after her leg was amputated after a snake bite.

Each year, over 16% of all strokes occur in people aged 15-49 yrs & over 62% occur in people under 70 yrs. 47% of all strokes occur in men & 53% occur in women
